The worm

Tonight was Emily's first fall tumbling class.  I don't know how much longer we can go on like this.  She really started coming out of her shell last spring.  Other than at the recital she got better and better and dance more and more every week.  This summer Grandma and I practically had to do her tumbling with her.  Tonight was no different.  Every time she gets a new teacher, every time she's in a different classroom it's the same thing.  Only now she's participating less and less.  I really hope preschool helps with her shyness, because I don't know what else will....On the other hand, Anthony went back and forth about whether or not he wanted to take the boys hip hop class.  He wanted to this summer but they didn't offer anything for boys.  He took a class tonight.  He agreed to give it a try and do what his teacher says and not to make a decision until the class was over.  He decided he doesn't want to go back, which is a shame, because he was picking it up pretty quick.  The other boys had taken the class last year, except for one and he had taken clogging.

Daddy just realized he's old.  Anthony had trouble with the worm.  Daddy started acting all macho and talking about what a good dancer he is and that he would show Anthony how it's done.  Daddy laid down on the floor and didn't move for about five minutes while he was trying to figure out how to do it without getting hurt.  Then he did this funny little trick where his whole body stayed on the floor except his hands.  Poor Daddy, I hope he doesn't go and have a midlife crisis now.

Bedtime for Emily is becoming a real issue.  Tonight she didn't want to sleep in her bed again.  She said she wanted to sleep on the floor in the hallway again.  I had Daddy move her mattress between the closet and Aubrey's crib, thinking she would be happy because it would be new to her.  We're listening to them in the baby monitor and they have been laughing and giggling for the last 20 minutes.  Emily's being silly and making Aubrey laugh.  I just heard her say, "I love you Aubrey."  I guess this must be the first time Daddy has heard the girls play like this at bedtime.  He just went in their room and told Aubrey he was going to give her a bare butt whopping.

Mommy's football team (Ravens)  are playing Daddy's team (Panthers)  The game started two hours ago and we're just now about to start it.  Daddy told me to stay off the computer so I wouldn't see the score.  I didn't listen and accidently saw it.  Mommy's team is losing, which is really weird, because Daddy's team rarely wins a game.....GO RAVENS!!!!
