Anthony to me: Yeah, that social studies....It's not so much social as it is studies. Jayden from cub scouts will be in his class this year, and so will Grace from first grade. His teacher seemed very nice.

We brought Emily with us because Ms. Tania sent me a message, that she had an opening and Emily's first day will be August 26h. So we went to pick up the paperwork to be filled out. Ms. Tania said four other kids are on the waiting list but she was only losing one child to kindergarten this year. I think she may have bumped Emily up the list because Anthony used to go there. I told Emily she could wear her school shirt to her visit to school today. She was a little confused and asked, "Isn't that my pjs?" She's been wearing Anthony's old school shirt as a nightgown. When we got there, we peeked thru the windows of all the classes and a little boy waved to us and one of the babies smiled at us. Emily is so excited. Ms. Tania let her pick out the color of her new school t-shirt for the first day of school. She picked purple. She wouldn't talk to Ms. Tania, but I can already tell she's going to come around pretty soon. Ms. Tania said she thinks Emily will get over her shyness real soon. Emily wanted to try her new shirt on in the car on the way home. I told her she would have to wait because we had to go to the grocery store first. As soon as we walked in the door, she took her shirt to her bedroom. She came back wearing it and asked, "How do I look?"
