I left my drink on the computer desk and went to put Aubrey down for her nap. She looked in the mirror and waved to herself. Then she put her head down on me and watched us in the mirror. Sometimes I wish she still needed me to hold her so she could sleep. I would have held her during her nap if I thought there was a chance of her actually falling asleep. I came back in the room and my drink was gone. Emily came and sat in my lap and when I asked if she drank all my drink she said, "Yes. I was going to save you the last sip, but I didn't."
Emily to Daddy..."Can I stay up just a little bit longer? Please! Please! Think about it!
Emily: Would it be ok if I picked my nose?
Emily: I think our fish need swimming lessons.
Me: You think the fish need swimming lessons? Why?
Emily: Cause the big brown one keeps going like this. (spins in circle)
(This comment of hers is especially strange because we don't have a big brown fish)
Aubrey waved to me during dinner. And tonight when I was putting her to bed, she gave me four kisses. She put her arms around her neck and put her mouth up to my cheek. When I said, "you gave me a kiss," she smiled and did it three more times. She's mastered the wave so we've been practicing blowing kisses She finally made her first attempt today. When I blow her a kiss, she sticks her finger in her mouth, then takes it out and waves her arm. She tried to repeat me blowing kisses several times today. And she is getting her sixth tooth. She is about to have four up top and two on the bottom.
