Sunday I decided it was time to replace the kids kiddie pool.  The one we got last year is nice, but it has several leaks and is hard to set up by myself.  It's supposed to be in the 90's all week so I went to Dollar General and picked up a new one and some pool toys. Carsya and Conner came over to play with Anthony and Emily.  We even convinced Aunt Kim to get in with us.  I think she enjoyed the pool the most.  Maybe we should get her one for her birthday ;-)  The kids played for hours.  Emily, just like last year, was clinging to me almost the entire time.  It took her awhile to feel comfortable, but eventually she loved it.  Monday the neighbors came back over again and this time, Daddy got in too. He even hooked the hose up to the hot water tank so the water wouldn't be so cold.  The kids loved that.  Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's to have cake.  It was Grandpa's 60th birthday.  Last night, after everyone went to bed, Anthony and I had an all night Scooby Doo marathon (I think we fell asleep around midnight) Today, Anthony had a dentist appointment. He had to get a couple fillings.  He's was being so silly and making me laugh the whole time.  When the dental hygienist put a 'bib' on him, he asked if he would be eating ribs.

Our baby girl turned 2

Yesterday our Emily turned two. Before Johnny left for work, he went in her room to wish her a happy birthday.  She said "Dada? Where's Mama?:"  When I went to get her I asked  "Who's beautiful?"  She said "Meeee!"  I said "Who's two today?" and she said "Connor."  The family came over for dinner.  Then she opened her gifts.  She loved her walking dog and kitchen appliances, but I think her favorite was her new Elmo balloon.  We put on her birthday dress from Memom before cake.  She carried on and threw a fit. (she doesn't like to wear dresses anymore) She looked so pretty.  She seemed to forget that she was mad once she saw cake.  She said "Eat Eat" and then we sang her the Happy Birthday song...... And when she's thirsty, she doesn't just point to a cup and say drink, now she says " I wanna drink." 

Emily said "K" for a couple days whenever we told her to do something.  Now she says "Okay."  And anytime I'm on the phone and say bye, she repeats me and says bye too.  Yesterday she wanted to check on the hermit crab.  Her crab (Elmo) died.  She kept pointing to Elmo's shell and saying "Elmo dead.  All gone Elmo. Elmo all gone."  Then she'd point to Anthony's crab Bob, and say "Talk Bob, talk." She's so funny.  Today Anthony wanted to go to Grandma's while Johnny and I went to tthe grocery store.  Johnny let her walk around instead of sit in the cart.  She went wild.  She ran everywhere, took things off the shelf, smiled like crazy and sat under the cart just like she's seen her brother do.

1st Grade Field Day

Wednesday was Anthony's 1st grade field day (in the gym)  I was babysitting Conner so Grandma, Emily, Conner and I went to see him in the morning. He participated in the standing broad jump (2 feet together, jump to see who jumped the farthest)  Anthony didn't win ;)  We came back in the afternoon to watch him in the Big Uniform race and brought Grandpa and Aunt Kim with us.  It was like a relay race with four kids from his class competing against the other classes.  They had to put on a high school basketball uniform and run to their classmate, take off the uniform so the other kids could do the same.  Anthony was the fastest on his team.  He was really really fast. Then his entire class did tug-of-war against the other classes.  His class won two out of three times.   He had such a good time and we had a lot of fun watching.
