Cub scout Thanksgiving feast

Tonight was the "Thanksgiving Feast" at cub scouts.  Anthony and I were about to leave for cub scouts and Daddy was planning to stay home with the girls.  Shortly before we were going to head out, Emily tugged my arm and said, "Can I please go to cub scouts?"  How could I say no?  She loves cub scout meetings.  I think she likes them even more than Anthony.  We called Grandma and invited her.  It's a good thing she came.  Boy was she wild.  Officer David, the resource officer from Anthony's school to explain some things that policemen do as part of their job.  He explained fingerprints and showed them how to take them.  He taught them how to collect their dna and took their fingerprints.  They had a ginormous feast with snacks each boy made themself.  Anthony made chocolate chip cookies and rice crispy treats.

 

 

Mommy/Anthony Day

I LOVE Mommy-Anthony days. We haven't had one in so long.  I forgot how much fun he is to be around when were not arguing over homework or showers or bedtime.  Grandma watched the girls while Anthony and I spent the day together.  First we voted.  He didn't want to at first.  He said, "They just want to make us kids feel like our vote actually counts."  His might actually count though, not as for who wins, but whatever class that has the most students show up and vote on election day wins a pizza party.  We hope his class wins.  After we voted we headed to Daddy's work.  We had lunch together.  Daddy brought home lots of tokens for him the night before and one of his coworkers that runs the game room gave him a bunch more.  He won lots of tickets and by lots, I mean LOTS.  He picked out some cool prizes. One being a shock pen.  He shocked me a lot with it.  A whole lot.  That thing hurts.  We could have gone to Old McDonalds mini golf but since the weather was bad Anthony picked black light golf since it's indoors.  He kicked my butt.  51 to 64. I can't wait until our next Mommy-Anthony day.
