Today went a little better for Emily. We dropped Aubrey off at Grandma's while we picked Emily up from school. When we got there, she wasn't sitting at the table with her friends, but she was standing a few feet behind McKenna. Ms. Rachel said she moved Emily's chair to the table McKenna sits since she seems to be most comfortable with her. Ms. Rachel said she still didn't sit or eat, but she did see Emily playing with McKenna a little bit and even saw her giggling. When we got there it was snack time and Ms. Rachel already had Emily's lunch box on the table by her chair and her naptime cot in the station she is supposed to take her nap. (by the books) Ms Rachel said during naptime, Emily did sit on her cot several times, but when she caught Ms. Rachel looking at her she real quick stood up, so Ms. Rachel turned her back to Emily and filled out her paperwork during lunch so Emily would sit down and relax. When we got there I took her to bathroom and reminded her that if she kept trying to hold it in all day, she might pee her panties and will then have to ask the teacher to help her change clothes. I asked if she had a good day or a bad day and she said a good day. She sat down and ate her lunch while Anthony laid on her cot. I asked him to so she would see him doing it and realize that it's not so scary. That's when Ms. Rachel said she sat on it. I asked Emily to lay on it and see if it's comfortable. She said it was. Ms. Rachel asked if she had a blanket from home that she might want to bring to make her feel more at home. I said she wasn't attached to a blanket, just piggy, but stuffed animals aren't allowed in school. She said they would make an exception as long as he can fit in her cubby. So tomorrow is Piggy's first day of school. Emily said he's not nervous because he is not shy.... We visited Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Kim after school and Emily did her cutting homework. She is getting really good at cutting. Today she had to cut curves. Tonight Emily saw the picture she was working on the other day for Uncle Joe and she asked if she could call him. She gets so silly when she talks to him. But for some reason she still acts shy around Aunt Kathy. She's coming around though.
