Grandma has been watching Emily at her house while Johnny is at work to make things easier for me. Wow! It's a good thing too. She has been a bundle of energy lately and I doubt there has been another little girl on this planet as excited to have a new baby sister as Emily is. For most of the last two days, it's just been Anthony, Aubrey, and I at the house. We've been enjoying our time together. Yesterday Aunt Kim ran Anthony up to the video store and rented him a game for his Wii. He picked Lego Indiana Jones. He's enjoying himself a lot. He decided that he wants to get all of the Lego Wii games because they're so much fun. I hope I remember to pass that on to Santa Claus.
Aubrey's been a lot more alert lately. Sometimes after feedings she stays awake for a little bit. Today she had a visit from Grandma and Emily, and then later from Daddy's friend from work, Elman. Emily likes to pet her sisters' hair and today told me several times that her baby sister is being good and that she's so beautiful and so cute. She wants to give her a bottle so bad and wants to know why she eats my boobs. Anthony didn't want to come along (he was enjoying his game) so Daddy and I took the girls for their first walk together. Emily loves the new stroller Grandma got them. One of our neighbors who we wave to, but have never met, stopped and waited at the end of our driveway for us to pass so she could meet Aubrey. Then we stopped at Roger and Gloria's. Daddy brought Aubrey over there yesterday, but Aubrey started crying so he brought her home. This time she was happy, but then let out a giant noise and pooped so we had to bring her home. You just can't take some little girls anywhere. Barbara cat followed us on our walk and then followed us back home.
Aubrey's sleeping much better now. The longest stretch so far has been not quite three hours, but she is allowing me to put her down in her bassinet to sleep, but her preference is to be held. Mine too. Shhhh ;-) I can't help it. Emily is right, she is so cute.
