After Emily woke up from her nap I showed her that Carmel was taking a nap on the blanket on the couch. They said together for twenty minutes. Emily smiled and pet Carmel while Carmel purred. I tried to give the cat Emily's monkey to cuddle with, but Emily wouldn't allow it. She wasn't sharing. I made Emily a bowl of Trix cereal and showed her how to get the cat to eat it too. She gently put a piece on the blanket in front of her and Carmel ate. Emily was fascinated.
