Busy summer so far

It's turning out to be a busy summer so far.  Anthony had so much fun at his friend Frank's birthday party in the beginning of May, that he asked to go to his friend Jonah's party too. It was at a bowling alley.  Last weekend Grandpa took him to the Island Home Airport in Knoxville, where he got to ride in his first airplane (a Cessna 172) with the pilot and 2 other boys, and had his name added to the world's largest log book that is located in Oshkosh, WI. Tuesday Aunt Kim and I took Anthony and Emily to see Rio at the free summer movies in Pigeon Forge.  Emily loves going to the movies.  Wednesday was signups for the library's summer reading program. Thursday Grandpa watched the kids while Grandma and I went to my ultrasound appointment and got to see the baby in 4D.  She looks so much like Emily.  I can't wait to meet and hold her.  Friday Grandma took the kids and I to the Smoky Mountain Opry where we saw singers and dancers, a ventriloquist, which was Anthony's favorite,  and what Emily calls, "the zombie show."  Singers and dancers performed to Michael Jackson's Thriller and a giant zombie walked thru the audience.  The whole second half of the show she kept telling Grandma she couldn't wait to tell Daddy about the big zombie.  (She watches him play a video game with zombies)  Saturday I took the kids to Kid's Day at Food City.  They played games, entered a coloring contest, and had snacks.  Emily's loved the kiddie pool with rubber ducks and toy fish and fishing poles. Sunday Grandma took the kids to church and afterwards they went to the church picnic where they played games and someone made balloon animals and toys for them.  Then they went to Lowes where the kids made helicopters from the Madagascar movie. This morning Grandma and I took the kids to their first week of Storytime at the library.  We saw another ventriloquist, which was again Anthony's favorite.  He never stopped laughing the entire time. His favorite quote was from Muler the mule.  "Roses are red. Violets are blue.  God made me cute.  What happened to you?"  Then the kids got to pick a prize from Mr. Spence's magic pillow case.
