Baltimore vacation

Grandpa took the kids and I on vacation to Baltimore to see family.  We rode the subway and a light train.  We went to D.C to the Smithsonian and to an Orioles game. We had Baltimore Snowballs and a Friendly's sundae.  We took the kids to the playground at my old elementary school.  Anthony lost his second front tooth. We swam in the pool. We had so much fun we didn't want to go home.  Emily learned new words.  HAVE and MILK.  As Aunt Jeanine and Eli were driving away Emily said, "By Guy.  By Guy.  Have fun."
Anthony got car sick on the way to Baltimore and wasn't feeling well.  We stopped at a rest area and had lunch at a picnic table. After, Anthony laid down on the ground to rest and Emily copied him.

We stayed at Grandma's house.  This is the house where Aunt Chris, Aunt Kim, and Mommy grew up

It's hard to read but this is next to the driveway.  It says Oct 1979 and has Aunt Chris and Aunt Kim's handprints and also our cousin's Kevin and Shannon

Memom and Aunt Kathy came over to swim with Anthony.  Then they took me and the kids to Friendly's for lunch and ice cream.  They took us to see the Loch Raven Dam, and a two story Walmart with separate escalators for people and their carts.  Next we went back to Aunt Kathy's house to see Uncle Joe and his dog Bailey. Emily loved playing The 'I'm gonna get you' game with Joe.  Anthony played on Brian and Pete's Nintendo Wii while Memom watched and cheered him on.

Kathy took Grandpa, the kids and I to the Smithsonian. We got there by subway.  It was the kids and Grandpa's first subway ride.  They liked it a lot.

We went to the Smithsonian's Museum of Nature History where we saw dinosaur bones, rocks, and butterflies.  Anthony said "Let's go. I've seen enough rocks!"

After we got off the Subway, Anthony spotted his first pay phone.  He asked if he could call Grandma.  Instead I offered to take his picture and he was excited.

After swimming I walked Anthony and Emily back to the school playground again.

I know my favorite day had to have been our last. Kathy, Pete and Brian took us to see the Orioles play.  Anthony looked a little bored but paid attention to the game.  Emily had a blast and clapped when she was supposed to. We got to and from the game by taking the light train (their first train ride)
