Never take a nap while your kids are awake

This has been a crazy week. I've been training for a new position at work, Johnny had two teeth pulled and Anthony had lots of homework.  But we survived.  Today I got off of work at one. I picked the kids up from Grandmas.  We'd only been home an hour and the kids had already trashed the house.  Blocks were all over the toy room, Legos spread out on the living room floor and Emily had gotten into some honey mustard sauce I left out and was leaving a trail of fingerprints. It was enough to make me decide that it was time for us all to take a nap. I cleaned Emily up and put her in her crib with a warm bottle. I put on Back to the Future in Anthony's room and told him he had to stay in there and be quiet and I went to bed. At some point I heard Anthony come out of his room but he was being quiet so I didn't argue with him. I heard keys jingling so I thought Johnny had come home. I woke up to hear Eminem blasting from the garage. Emily woke up. I went to check on Anthony and he told me he was getting ready for a driveway party. He had stacks of paper lined up both sides of the driveway. He had a station for everything, one for markers, one for fabric markers, one for chalk, one for paints and another for finger paints. All of my bottled waters were lined up in a row on the front steps. He seemed very proud of himself and not at all nervous when I noticed marker stains all over the dining room floor. I went to get Emily out of her crib and of course, during all this she had gone number two. Never a dull moment at the Bryant house. At this time I had given up. I brought Emily outside to the driveway and let the kids get messy.
