Anthony and I watched our first UFC fight. Well I only saw part of it but that was enough. We watched one of the fighters kick the other one and break his own leg in the process. Uncle Larry kept rewinding it to see it again. Anthony thought it was cool. I thought it was gross. The birthday party was awesome. They had all kinds of animals come to the party. There was a llama. (which Emily still insists was a lion) There was a cow, a pony, a donkey, baby pigs, 2 week old baby lambs, some bunnies, a goat, and some really pretty chickens. Anthony said his favorite animals were the bunnies, the lambs, and the llama. Emily said her favorite was the bunnies. Aubrey's favorite had to have been the baby pigs. Every time they came near her, she broke out in giggles. The night before we left Aunt Chris gave Aubrey her very first hair cut. I didn't want her to take off any of the length or give her bangs, so it was just a little trim. You can just barely tell she had any taken off, but when I wash her hair in the bath, you can see how it's straight and even now. She was so good and still for her haircut. I thought that because of her age, (she's a lot older than Anthony was for his first cut and a lot younger than Emily was) she would be wiggly. She was a little, but she was perfectly content. She didn't mind getting her hair cut at all. But she didn't appreciate the blow dry.

Va Beach trip - Skylar's bday party
We had so much fun on our trip to Virginia Beach for Skylar's 5th birthday party. The girls play like sisters (with slightly less fighting) It's as if no time has passed since they've seen each other last. They're best friends again immediately. The girls never got to have their sleepover because neither of them wanted to sleep. The played under Skylar's castle bed. Emily ended up falling asleep on the air mattress under the bed and Anthony slept up top. Skylar went to bed with her parents. Emily told me later that she kept trying to fall asleep but Skylar kept waking her up. We got to see Aunt Kathy and Uncle Joe and Memom. They brought gifts for the kids which they loved. We watched the last Ravens game of the season. They lost. :( Emily and Skylar had a blast playing with Uncle Joe. They kept tell him that he had a ...... on his head and they would fill in different words. Then they said in a little sing song voice, "Uncle Joe, you're a pain in the butt" Aunt Chris didn't appreciate that too much so we all tried thinking of other things for the girls to say instead. Emily shocked us all when she said, "Uncle Joe, you're a pain in the ass" I just froze and neither me nor anyone else knew what to say at first. But man those girls love their Uncle Joe. I almost cried when Emily held Uncle Joe's hand. I can't remember why she was holding his hand, I think she might have been leading him somewhere. I don't know, but it was adorable. She's come far with her shyness She's still painfully shy at school, but she's doing much better in other social situations. She even friended Uncle Larry. The night of the party, Grandpa, Uncle Joe, Aunt Kathy, and Uncle Larry got in the hot tub with the kids. The next night it was all the kids with Uncle Larry. When the girls were coming up with toys to bring with them, Emily asked Uncle Larry if she could bring a doll with her. I think that may have been the first time she ever spoke to him. She let him lift her into the hot tub and she sat on his lap. Too bad, he made her cry later that night, just as they were becoming friends. He accidently opened the bathroom door on her cheek while she was running down the hall. I don't know who felt worse, Emily or Uncle Larry. But she was ok after she calmed down. Aunt Chris got her some Tylenol and Skylar got her an ice pack from the freezer and then brought piggy down from the bedroom along with her doctors bag and gave Emily a check up.
