Misc November pics

Today has been such a wonderful day.  We took the kids to get their Christmas pictures taken.  All three of them were angels in the car on the way and just as great at the photo shoot.  Kristi, a girl I used to work with started her own business a year couple years ago and I've been wanting to get the kids pictures taken so bad.  Santa was there.  I haven't seen the pictures yet, but I'm sure they are going to be fantastic.  Emily was nervous, or as she says, "a little bit shy."  I can't wait to see them when they're finished.

This weekend we put up the tree and decorated it.  It's fallen twice so far. (we lost a leg to the stand) But it was so funny.  Before Anthony and Emly were about to leave for cub scouts, I asked them to stand in front of the tree so I could take their picture.  Anthony told Emily to pretend to sit on the tree.  Well she didn't just pretend, she actually tried to sit on it.  The whole tree fell on top of them.  I would have been upset if the whole thing hadn't been so funny.  Then our picture didn't quite turn out the way I planned.  Again, I would have been upset if not for, again it was really funny.  Afterwards Anthony caught me looking at the ceiling and asked what I was doing. After I told him I was praying to God and hoping that he wasn't watching us right then.  He said, "Better him then Santa Claus! Then we woudn't get presents for a whole year!

I tell you, these kids are a handful.  All three of them.  And Emily cracks us up. She is the sweetest, caring,  loving little girl with a big temper.  When she gets mad she punishes herself and goes to her room.  She loves her brother and sister more than anything in the world.  She loves to pick out Aubrey's outfit for the day.  She insists on helping me give her a bath. (even the "stinky" parts) She absolutely loves picking out which diaper she will wear.  She always wants Aubrey to wear the Cookie Monster one.  She goes thru the whole stack looking for Cookie Monster.  So when I change Aubrey when Emily's not around, I make sure not to use that one so there's always one available for Emily to pick.  Emily loves to get Aubrey's first smile of the day. She's has plenty of hugs and kisses for her.  And even more to give around to the rest of us.  She loves to wake Daddy up in the morning and won't let him leave without giving us all kisses and hugs. She makes sure I get a turn too. She never fails to remind Daddy that she wants him to bring pizza and soda home for her.  When she watches her cartoons, (her favorites are Dora the Explorer and Strawberry Shortcake) she pays close attention to all the commercials and points out what she wants us to tell Santa she wants for Christmas, and even what she wants for Anthony and Aubrey.  She looks foward to picking Anthony up from school everyday and says she can't wait to be five so she can go to school too.  One day last week we had to go inside Anthony's school to look for his coat in the lost and found.  When we got out of the car she asked if she was going to school too. When I said yes, she asked if that meant she was five now.She reminds me almost everyday that she will be going to dance class soon and that she can't wait.  She is the most pleasant little girl and makes everyone laugh and smile.

Aubrey is getting so big so fast.  So far she seems like a Mama's girl and I'm hoping she stays that way.  She is so beautiful and I love to make her smile and giggle.  She is such as happy baby.  She is happiest when she is being held.  She doens't do alone well.  Honestly, I know that there is always work to be done, but I don't mind.  I could hold her all day.  The only thing, is I feel like Emily doesn't get enough attention. But rarely does Emily get jealous.  Usually she just wants to join us and cuddle too.  Aubrey loves her brother and sister.  Lately it seems like Emily and Anthony have been almost fighting for Aubrey's attention.  They both get up real close and make funny faces and smile at her and try to get her to smile back.  Most of the time Aubrey looks kind of overwelmed by all the attention but she does seem to like it.  I'm just glad that Anthony is finally coming around to having another sibling.  He wasn't too excited when he found out he was having another sister.  He was hoping for a little brother.  But he does enjoy that fact that Aubrey seems to be fasinated by him.  She can sit and stare at him, even when he's not doing anything or even looking at her. Lately he has discovered that she enjoys watching him make fart noises and fart faces. Aubrey has been making the noises too. It seems to be her favorite trick lately and she is very good at it.  When Aubrey makes fart noises Anthony says, "She gets that from my side of the family."
