One....Two....THREE!!!

Happy St Patricks Day!!!   Last night I took the kids pictures in their t-shirts and hats.  I had a heck of a time trying to get them both smiling and still at the same time.  Emily can now say three.  Tonight when Anthony was acting up I counted, 1....2.... and Emily said 3.   After that I had to count several times and every time Emily said 3.

Yesterday we let Anthony stay home from school to go to a birthday party.  Shae and Shawn (the twins) turned 8.  We met them in Pigeon Forge at the arcade.  They played games and rode the go carts.  Afterwards we went to their hotel and everyone hung out in the hot tub.  Emily liked the hot tub, A LOT.  Then they had hot dogs and cake and ice cream.  We had a great time.

Saturday Grandma took Anthony to the Bass Pro Shop where he had his picture taken and met professional fisherman,  Tony Sellars and his dog.
This morning I took Emily to story hour at the library.  Mr. Spence read a funny book about a lazy Irish man.  Then the kids did a craft and had a St. Patricks Day party.  After I picked Anthony up from school,  I took him with me to take some pictures of  the pear trees.  When he wouldn't pose for pictures, I tried bribing him with fifty cents a smile.  It didn't work.  Tonight I made dinner/ (this is rare in the Bryant house)  I made beef kabobs on the electric grill, fresh fruit, sweet potato fries and corn with red pepper and black beans.  I was surprised, but every one ate.

Anthony: Do I have to eat this corn? Can I have broccoli?
Mommy:  From now on everyone will eat what I make. I won't be making somethng different for you.
Anthony:  (he thought that meant I was going to make the same meal every night and pushed his plate away) We'll I'm not gonna finish this since I'll be having this more often.

Tonight at bedtime I read Anthony the book I checked out from the library (the one Mr. Spence read)
After the story.....

Anthony:  I have to tell you something. (with a sly look on his face. He acted like he was going to whisper in my ear but instead gave me a hug and jumped off the bed.)  I don't have to go to bed.
Mommy: Why not?
Anthony:  I'm smart.
Mommy: Why don't you have to go to bed?
Anthony:  I make my own rules now! (as he ran down the hall)
