Fun filled weekend

Sleepovers. A day of shopping and a night of cooking. A hike and lots and lots of bears.

Friday night Emily had a sleepover at Grandma's and Anthony slept over at his friend Jerry's.  This was his second sleepover at a friends.  A few months ago, he stayed at Jayden's house.  Saturday when I picked him up, he didn't want to come home.  Jerry let Anthony ride his motorbike and Anthony loved it.  Emily said she and Grandma enjoyed their day working in the garden.

Saturday Daddy, Aubrey and I went to Sam's to pick up ingredients for dinner. For the first time Mommy made crab cakes. I was nervous I was going to mess it up. We spent $40 on two pounds of crab meat and that's the most expensive meal I ever cooked. I wanted to make sure it was yummy.  We invited Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Kim over for crab cakes and salad.  I made the kids virgin peach daiquiris with mini umbrellas and non alcoholic peach jello shots.  We made strawberry for the grown ups.  Some with banana rum and some with strawberry moonshine.  Then I made homemade beer cheese to go with our soft pretzels.

Sunday we went to Cades Cove. What an awesome trip it was. We saw more bears than we could count.  We saw lots of deer and took a beautiful hike and saw a snake on our path.  We're still trying to find out what kind of snake it was. Two people have suggested it may be a cottonmouth.
