Volunteer Landing

Since I was getting cabin fever and Anthony was still at Dollywood, when Johnny got off work he took me and Emily to Volunteer Landing in Knoxville to try out our new camera.  We took pictures of the UT football stadium, Christmas lights while driving on the highway, and each other.

Braved Black Friday = New cameras

Pictures from my new camera...... I braved black Friday.  The kids had a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpas so they didn't have to get up early to be dropped off.  I left the house at 4:30 to get to Walmart, then left in a hurry to get to Big Lots and stand in line for 30 minutes until they opened.  Then went to Kmart and another Walmart.  I finished my shopping and headed home at about 10am.  Kmart had a sale on cameras.  Buy one and get another (smaller) free.  Last year Johnny and I got Anthony a digital camera from Target for $30.  It was blue with skulls.  I thought for $30 it would work fairly decent, but every picture turned out dark and blurry.  I told Anthony if I got myself a new camera this year, he could have my old one.  My old one doesn't always work, so this was such a good deal for us.  We gave him the free one. I taught him how to use it and he practiced this morning. Now, he's headed out to Dollywood with Grandma to test it out.  I hope he has a good time and takes lots of pictures.

Thankful on Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! I should be in bed right now but I'm searching the Black Friday ads looking for a camera.  It's time to replace mine and while it's great to have a camera on my phone, t's not the greatest quality.  I don't know how I would survive without a camera.  Kids grow up so fast and you forget so much. It's great to catch it all on film. (or memory card)  Without cameras, we would miss capturing the little things. So this Thanksgiving I am thankful for my camera and camera phone, and the two little hams (and the big one too) that I love taking photos of.

Target

Today Grandpa took me, Emily and Aunt Kim to Target.  I took Emily down the isles in the toy department to get an idea of what she might like for Christmas.  I learned she does not like talking or moving dolls.  It looks like Santa won't be bringing a Baby Alive doll for Ms. Emily this year.  I don't care what Emily says, my favorite was the baby that played peek a boo.  Oddly enough, she really liked the jack in the box.  I thought that would have scared her.
