Anhony's had a fever and cough since this weekend.  Tonight he stretched out in the tub and said  "Ah, this is so relaxing.  I needed this."  I told him I hoped he wasn't enjoying it to much because his sister was about to join him and it might not be so relaxing anymore.  He said, "She better not. I worked hard for this."..... all he did today was play video games :)

Tonight Johnny brought home pizza.  Anthony and I were cuddling on the couch watching Open Season 3 (he's sick).  Johnny pulled Emily's chair up to the coffee table and gave her a piece.  She went and got Mr. Monkey,  sat him down in her chair, put a piece of pizza up to his mouth and ordered "Eat Eat"  She's so silly.

I was just giving Emily a bath and Lucy came in for a drink.  The kids always fill a cup for her to drink out of and Lucy being the good dog that she is obliges them.  This time, Emily poured  Lucy a cup and then pointed to her bath water and said "Eat Eat."  I said "Emily, Lucy drinks the water."  So then Emily pointed again to her bath water and looked at Lucy and said "Drink Drink."

Someone finally agreed to pose for me, for a price.......

Happy Valentine's Day

Yesterday was Emily's first party at the library.  A lady from Dollywood brought in some birds.  She brought a screech owl (that does not screech) a falcon (that never shuts up) and a barn owl that looks like the one from the movie, The Legand of the Guardian that we saw last month.  At the end the lady let all the kids wait their turn to have their picture taken with the screech owl. Emily held Grandma's hand and stood in line. Once she found out what she was waiting for, she panicked and held on to Grandma.  Once Grandma stood in the middle she was fine.  I love the picture.  It looks like both Emily and the owl are giving each other a stare down.  Emily was much closer to participating this week.  I'm sure it won't be much longer until she tries to sit on Mr. Spence's lap durng storytime.  After the bird lady left, the kids had their party.  Emily's still young so she didn't show much interest in the candy or snacks.  But again, she's still young.  Give her time ;-)

Cades Cove

Anthony wanted to spend the day with Grandma and Aunt Kim so we took Emily to Cades Cove.  We saw turkey and Emily got to play kickball in a field with deer.
